Brief description of PEACOCK

E-Mart's own brand, PEACOCK, is seeing a huge increase in sales!!

Here, E-Mart plans to strengthen its influence on the food market centered on home food through PEACOCK. PEACOCK is E-Mart's own food brand (PL) and is currently sold as a luxury self-brand product in various food categories, including frozen and refrigerated home food, beverages, snacks, ham, and coffee.

Although the general brands of large discount stores use relatively low prices as their competitive weapon, PEACOCK focuses on taste-oriented quality rather than price. In fact, unlike PL brands such as Homeplus, PEACOCK prioritizes taste and quality over price. The price of PEACOCK is relatively high, but the response of consumers seems to be high.

Originally, PEACOCK is said to be a clothing brand that was sold at Shinsegae Department Store in the 70s and 80s. It is said that this Peacock was inspired by the word PEACOCK. Only the name of this brand was borrowed, and it was reborn as a food brand called "PEACOCK" at E-Mart in 2013. Until the launch of PEACOCK, PL brands sold at large discount stores usually focused on cheap prices, but E-Mart's PEACOCK has become a high-end brand with taste as its top priority and no expense for recipe development and ingredients. Actually, the price of the product I purchased today is not cheap considering it's a PL brand...

The shocking fact is that E-Mart has hired a chef at a luxury hotel of Shinsegae Group's Chosun Hotel to enhance the taste of PEACOCK and has it under the PEACOCK product development team! Here, the chef of the luxury hotel is studying the recipe for sweets made at the factory. T^T?

Also, there is a cooking space called "Taste Kitchen" in E-Mart's headquarters, and it is said that top management, including Jung Yong-jin, to buyers, cook, taste, and hold a fair. That's why Jung Yong-jin posts a lot of delicious things on SNS, right? Currently, PEACOCK's sales have grown to nearly $100 million. Accordingly, E-Mart plans to increase the number of Peacock brand products to 500 and expand them to 1,000 in the future. 1. PEACOCK Chocolate Sandwich Biscuit

First, I'm going to try the Peacock Chocolate Sandwich Biscuit! It's a visual box that Parisians used to enjoy! I'm not born in Paris, but if I eat this snack, I'm sure it's no different from the same grade, right? I was going to open it at home, but the weather was so nice that I had to open it. T-T.

Before biting the cookies, there was a square shape that was too complete. Snacks are thicker and taste slightly stronger than the Binch sold by Lotte Confectionery.

It's a picture of a bite of a snack! Can you see how thick it is? The biscuit was definitely thick and crunchy, like eating two bints! Chocolate has a higher cacao powder content than other companies' products, and when I tried it, I thought it would be it!

The taste is great!

The taste is great! Crispy biscuits and sweet chocolate! While there are some sweets with too much sugar, it's okay because it tastes more like chocolate than sugar! I think even young children can eat this snack full! I don't think it's easy to find snacks like this in Korean brands. I want to hear from foreigners living in Korea!

2. Chocolate & Waffle

The next snack is chocolate and waffle! To tell you the truth, a big and heavy box of snacks tempted me and bought it... Shall we check if the contents are as good as I expected?

Ta-da. - Wow. To be honest, I was surprised. The first biscuit I introduced was filled with a lot of nitrogen in the cookie box, so I thought this waffle would be the same... The contents of the waffle are very fulfilling! It's packed well and there's no gap in the composition!

I was going to take a picture of taking a bite of this waffle, but... It was so delicious that I ate both at once. To be honest, what I feel is better than biscuits is that despite the similar chocolate quality, this waffle is twice as good as the price. However, biscuits have the advantage of being alive in their original senses.

3. Mild Chocolate French Butter Biscuit

The next snack is mild chocolate French butter biscuit! The shape of the cute snack looks like a cookie baked by an old lady in a Western fairy tale.

It tastes like the same chocolate as the previous one, so it's not too sweet, but you can fully feel the smell of chocolate! It's nice that it's the right size for kids to eat with biscuits!

The amount of snacks in one bag is 6, with a total of two bags, so there are 12 snacks. Actually, considering the price, I don't think it's a better choice than the waffle on top...
