[BLOG] How to create a download link directly from Google Drive

Often you create a direct download link to the file and share it on your blog.

When sharing Excel or documents with Google Drive, it is inconvenient to connect directly to the Google spreadsheet

TIP

At this point, some people use external links, but instead, let's learn how to create download links directly from Google Drive.

1. Obtaining File Links

   1) create an appropriate folder

   2) Create a shared link on your Google Drive

   3) Copy a shared link

=> Place your mouse over the name of the file to which you want to link, right-click, and select Share.

=> When the Sharing Settings window appears, click Get Shared Links. Next, "All users with links can see it."

=> Copy the link and paste it in your notepad.

2. Create a download link

   1) Extract file ID

=> The copied link (URL) looks like the following.

      You must copy the text between "/d/" and "/view".

=> Example:

             https://drive.google.com/file/d/ "File ID part"/view?usp=sharing

   2) Create a download link

=> Copy only the "File ID Port" of the file from the above link address.

=> Paste it after the URL below without any spaces.

=> URL : https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=

=> Then it will look like the following.

=> Example, https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id="File ID Part"

=> Direct download link is created.
